Why did you join ABWA?

I joined ABWA because I enjoy meeting and interacting with women in many different types of business. As a dentist, I meet many colleagues in the same line of work, but I am fascinated with the variety of professional women I meet through ABWA. I learn a lot about business and have made many wonderful lifelong friends.

Tell us about your business.

I own a group dental practice, Citracado Dental Group, which my husband, Dr. Randy Jungman, and I started in 1980. We wanted to have the freedom to practice according to our values and philosophy, and that is still what we do, over 35 years later. We are now working with our two dentist sons, as well as other specialists and general dentists. We provide all types of dental care in our group practice, and enjoy our variety of services, as well as the wonderful relationships we have developed over the years.

Where do your clients come from?

Our clients come from several sources; direct referrals from our clients, online reviews, and our staff, who recommend us to their family and friends. Many people come for a second opinion if they are not sure about recommended treatment, and we are happy to provide free consultations on any dental questions.

How can ABWA members help you grow your business?

ABWA members give us a wonderful compliment if they recommend us to their colleagues and friends. We treat each person as a member of our own family, and our team members are known for their skill and compassion. Our office is a warm and friendly environment designed to quickly put our guests at ease.

I have a dream to be a contestant on Wheel of Fortune and have previously advanced to the in-person tryout stage. Until I make it to the live program, I am an avid Scrabble and Words with Friends player.

Why did you join ABWA?

I had just left a successful mortgage career to raise my kids and needed something stimulating. I started a Mary Kay business for some adult interaction and a way to make money from home. A woman that I knew was also in direct sales and had been looking for a networking group. She asked me if I wanted to check out ABWA with her, so we went to a meeting together. I loved the women that I met, the professionalism of the meeting and how much fun everyone was having. I was new to San Diego and needed both clients and friends. This seemed like an amazing place to start!

Tell us about your business.

I work in several aspects of Real Estate. Besides being a Realtor®, I also assist several successful agents with their files as a Transaction Coordinator. Although I’ve been in this industry for close to 20 years, I’m a new agent so this helps me learn the contract and disclosures. I also do the marketing for a team of nine agents. I do everything from print / mail advertising to web & social media.

Where do your clients come from?

In Real Estate we call it a “sphere of influence.” It’s basically people who like, know and trust me. My sphere has grown over the years from the volunteer work I did at my children’s’ schools, social clubs I’ve belonged to, my Mary Kay business, ABWA, church and my neighborhood.

How can ABWA members help you grow your business?

Allow me an interview if you’re considering buying or selling a home. Give my name & number to friends who are looking to do the same. No one will work harder on your transaction, and besides my own experience, my team of agents/mentors has over 100 years of combined experience in North County.

I danced on American Bandstand for three years in the 80’s and was a nationally ranked beach volleyball player in the early 90’s.

I had to become very handy. Since several handyman didn’t follow through. I learned to put lots different furniture together on my own. And have become a pretty handy woman too!

Why did you join ABWA?

I joined ABWA in July 2018 after I had been looking to be part of a networking group in the North County area. One of the members Anne had mentioned ABWA and after I saw it online, I joined.

Chalk Couture – allows you to decorate all kinds of things from t-shirts to tea towels. From beautiful home décor to unique gifts. We have reusable transfers that paired with our revolutionary chalk paste or inks allow you to make your items temporary or permanent.

Clients come from everywhere. From Children to adults. When you can craft so easily it makes everyone want to try.

When I was about 15, I had a job at the library. It was housed in an otherwise closed building. One day a co-worker and I decided to explore it…but security called the police and we were chased by police dogs….needless to say I was sent home early so my Mother could deal with me.

I joined ABWA because I was invited by my dear friend, Michelle Sullivan.

I am an attorney certified by the state bar of California as a specialist in estate and trust law. I help families prepare for and deal with incapacity and death.

Where do your clients come from?

The vast majority of my clients come from word of mouth referrals from existing clients, other attorneys, accountants, and financial advisors. A few find me on the internet, and a very few find me in the phone book.

How can ABWA members help you grow your business?

ABWA members can help me grow my business by referring people to me for consultation. We don’t charge for an initial consultation because it is a great way for potential clients and me to mutually determine if we are the “right fit.”

It’s not such a secret but many people do not know I am passionate about art and painting and believe that art lifts the spirits of individuals and communities.

Why did you join ABWA?

I love the idea of women in business supporting other women in business. Women lifting each other up in networking. Specifically, I joined ABWA because of quality of people in the group, and the meeting location proximity to my home and office.

I own and operate an independent insurance agency. I help clients find the best insurance solutions for their budget and needs. Being an independent agent, means I am not tied to any one carrier like a Farmers, State Farm, or Allstate. My primary focus is on commercial lines coverages for small to medium sized businesses, but I can write coverage for individuals and large businesses, too. Some of the coverages I write is general liability, property, workers compensation, professional liability, commercial auto, bonds, personal home, and renters and auto. I love working with people to educate them on how insurance is a tool to protect valuable assets.

My clients come to me from referrals, networking, partnering with health insurance agencies, accountants, bookkeepers, along with good ol’ fashion prospecting.

I believe ABWA will help me grow my business through connections with other women in business along with professional and educational development.

Sign language was my first language. My sign language has gotten rusty over the years, but it was my first language.

I “tested” ABWA out a couple times and really loved the warm welcome I received. As I learned more about ABWA and all that they offer to members I realized it was different than most networking groups and it was something that I never knew I was looking for! I’m surrounded by Women helping Women in any way they can.

I used to be very against Essential oils. Not that I didn’t like them, but 10 years ago I was approached by a co-worker to try essential oils and I kept telling her No, thank you that I didn’t have time for this “Hippie stuff” and seriously who has time for all this “nature stuff” anyway. I was approached again 4 years later and again said I didn’t have room for them in my life … Fast forward to 4 .5 years ago and now you would have never guessed that I was so anti-essential oils. We never go a day without our essential oils!
